HPC Resources

All the computing resources at the WASP node specialise in distributed and massively scalable parrellel computing

The primary resource is marron a 164 node Cray XT3 with 2.6GHz, single core Opterons and 330GB memory with 0.85TFlop capability, with 32TB of RAID data storage based on Lustre file system. The system was installed in the new WASP machine room in March 2006. read more...

The other system is seymour a 12node Cray XD1 Supercomputer with six Xilinx Virtex-II Pro Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) for massively parallel executive of cirtical algorithms components.
